(GODERICH, ON) - A Goderich resident will have to attend court later this fall to face Impaired Driving charges after an arrest made by Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) last week.
On Friday, October 2, 2020 at approximately 4:23 p.m. Huron OPP received information about a possible impaired driver that may be travelling in the area. An officer responded to the area and shortly thereafter the investigating officer spotted the suspect vehicle travelling southbound on Elizabeth Street. The officer followed the vehicle a short distance and a traffic stop was initiated on Blake Street West.
While speaking with the driver the officer noted the driver had been drinking alcohol and was displaying signs of impairment. The driver was placed under arrest and was transported to the Clinton OPP Detachment for breath tests.
The driver supplied two samples of her breath to the Intoxilizer Technician and both tests were analyzed to be over the legal limit.
Bonnie DONALDSON, 69 years of age, from Goderich has been charged with Operation While Impaired & Operation While Impaired - Blood Alcohol Concentration 80 Plus. She was released from custody and now has a court appearance scheduled for December 14, 2020 at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich.
