Side Of Road Dispute Ends With Charges

(BLUEWATER, ON) - Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid charges against a Kitchener resident following a domestic violence investigation conducted by police this past weekend.
On Saturday, June 20, 2020 at approximately 6:15 p.m. Huron OPP officers responded to a side of the road domestic dispute that was taking place on Bissonette Avenue. Officers arrived on scene and a subsequent investigation revealed the accused and victim became involved in a heated argument. The accused pushed an object off of the roof of the vehicle that struck the victim causing an injury to the victim.
Further investigation revealed the accused dented and broke off parts of the victim's car causing an estimated $5,000 in damages to the vehicle.
The accused was arrested on scene and was charged. A 30-year-old from Kitchener is facing charges of Assault with a Weapon and Domestic Mischief. He has since been released from custody with a court date later this summer.
