85 Year Old Pedestrian Killed In Hit And Run - Police Seeking Gold Colored Vehicle

(ESSEX, ON) - On October 9th, 2019 at approximately 9:45 a.m. a brown or gold colored vehicle exiting the driveway of The Superstore on Talbot Street East in Leamington struck an electric wheelchair causing the occupant to fallout.

The vehicle failed to remain at the scene and was last seen travelling westbound on Talbot St East.

The 85 year old occupant of the wheelchair was transported by Emergency Medical Services to hospital with what was thought to be non-life threatening injuries but Joyce MORENCY has since succumbed to the injuries sustained.

Ontario Provincial Police in Leamington are appealing for any information regarding the driver or details about the vehicle. Witnesses are asked to come forwarded and businesses to check surveillance camera's for a gold coloured vehicle similar to a Buick Rendezvous.
