Another Fatal Collision Involving Pedestrains

(QUINTE WEST, ON) - On December 12, 2018 at approximately 5:30 p.m. officers from the Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) as well as the Quinte West Fire Department and Hastings Quinte EMS responded to Bellevue Drive in the City of Quinte West for a motor vehicle collision involving two pedestrians.
Both pedestrians were transported to hospital by ambulance. One of the pedestrians suffered minor injuries and the other later succumbed to their injuries at hospital.
The identity of the deceased is being withheld until notifications to family have been made.
The highway has been closed for the investigation.
