Dead Dog With Gunshot Wound Found

(Malahide Township) - Elgin County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are currently investigating the suspicious death of a German Shephard dog found by an area hunter.

On the 13th of November at approximately 9:20am, an area hunter came across a recently deceased intact male German shepherd dog just off the parking lot of Calton Swamp located at 7698 Carter Road, Malahide Township.

The dog had no ID collar or tags and appeared to have suffered a .22 caliber gunshot wound.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the Elgin OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
