(SOUTH HURON, ON) - A call to police from an employee working a drive-thru helped police remove an impaired driver from the roads as well it resulted in police taking some drugs off the street.

On Tuesday, October 20th, 2020 at approximately 5:00 p.m. Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a restaurant located on Main Street North in Exeter to investigate a possible impaired driver that was just served in the drive-thru.

Minutes later officers arrived on scene and located the suspect vehicle parked at the restaurant. A Standard Field Sobriety Test (SFST) was conducted at the scene. The driver performed poorly and was subsequently placed under arrest for Impaired Operation.
