Driver Facing Impaired Driving Charge - ARNOLD

(SOUTH BRUCE PENINSULA, ON) - On August 5, 2020 at 4:55 p.m. Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a traffic complaint involving an erratic driver in a (grey) pick-up truck on Bruce Road 13, in Saugeen First Nation. Officers located and stopped this vehicle on Main Street in Sauble Beach, ON.
OPP officers conducted a Standard Field Sobriety Test and the driver failed. The driver was arrested for impaired driving by drug and was transported to the Chatsworth detachment. A Drug Recognition Expert completed an evaluation with this driver.
Grey Bruce OPP have charged Gavin ARNOLD, 39 years-of-age from Kincardine, ON with operation of a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs, section 320.14(1)(a) Criminal Code of Canada.
The involved vehicle was towed and will be impounded for 7 days.
The accused was released on an Undertaking and is required to appear in Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on October 1, 2020.
