Shots Fired - Six Arrested

(MIDDLESEX, ON) On July 26, 2020 at 08:09 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), OPP Canine Unit and Chippewas of the Thames First Nation Police Service responded to reports of multiple gun shots on the 400 block area of Middlemiss Drive, located on the Chippewas of the Thames First Nation.

Police soon arrived on scene and confirmed active gunshots in the area. As a result of an investigation, officers located seven adults at the scene. All involved parties were detained without incident.

Police located and seized three handguns, a large number of spent casings, three high-capacity magazines, six standard magazines, a large quantity of ammunition, Canadian currency, suspected cocaine, hashish and fentanyl.

No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.

As a result of an investigation, police have charged Tiffani MARTIN, 31-years-old, of London, ON, with:
Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition contrary to section 92(2) of the Criminal Code (CC) - three counts.
Possession of Prohibited or Restricted Firearm/ammunition contrary to section 95(b) of the Criminal Code - three counts.
Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking-Opioid (other than heroin) contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) - two counts.
Possession of Firearm or Ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order contrary to section 117.01(1) of the Criminal Code - two counts.
Possession of over 30g dried cannabis (or equivalent) in a public place - contrary to section 8(1) (a) of the Cannabis Act.
Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000 contrary to section CC 354(1) (a) of the Criminal Code.


Police have also charged Katryna HICKSON - age 23- of London, ON with:
Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition contrary to section 92(2) of the Criminal Code - three counts.
Possession of Prohibited or Restricted Firearm/ammunition contrary to section 95(b) of the CC - three counts.
Possession of a Schedule I Substance - Opioid (other than heroin) contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act.


Police have also charged Patrick ANGUS - age 36- of Brampton, ON, with:
Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition contrary to section 92(2) of the Criminal Code - three counts.
Possession of Prohibited or Restricted Firearm/ammunition contrary to section 95(b) of the Criminal Code - three counts.


Police have also charged Anthony MCLEAN - age 32- of London, ON with:
Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition contrary to section 92(2) of the Criminal Code - three counts.
Possession of Prohibited or Restricted Firearm/ammunition contrary to section 95(b) of the Criminal Code - three counts.
Possession of Firearm or Ammunition Prohibition Order contrary to section 117.01(1) of the Criminal Code - two counts.


Police have also charged Jahmahl THOMPSON -age 28- of Brampton, ON with:
Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition contrary to section 92(2) of the Criminal Code - three counts.
Possession of Prohibited or Restricted Firearm/ammunition contrary to section 95(b) of the Criminal Code - three counts.


Police have also charged Dave TIMOLL -age 38- of Brampton, ON with:
Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition contrary to section 92(2) of the Criminal Code- three counts.
Possession of Prohibited or Restricted Firearm/ammunition contrary to section 95(b) of the Criminal Code - three counts.


Police have also charged Tyrell TIMOLL -age 26- of Ajax ON with:
Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition contrary to section 92(2) of the Criminal Code - three counts.
Possession of Prohibited or Restricted Firearm/ammunition contrary to section 95(b) of the Criminal Code - three counts.


Six accused have been released from police custody and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in London on October 19, 2020.

The accused Tiffani MARTIN has been remanded into police custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in London on July 29, 2020.
