Seagull Dispute Ends With Spitting & ArrestSource: Area OPP

(SOUTH BRUCE PENINSULA, ON) - On June 22, 2020 at 8:11 p.m. Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a residence at Frank Street in Wiarton, ON for a dispute between two neighbours over feeding seagulls.
After a verbal argument, the accused spit in the victim's face and stepped on their foot.
As a result of this investigation, Grey Bruce OPP have charged Donald BOWERS, 58 years old from Wiarton, ON with assault, section 266 Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused was released on an Undertaking and is required to appear in Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on August 27, 2020.
