Fatal Collision Update - OPP Lay Careless Driving Cause Death Charge

(HURON EAST, ON) - Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Central Huron resident with Careless Driving Causing Death in connection with a motor vehicle collision that took place in May of this year.
On May 13, 2020 at approximately 1:40 p.m. Huron County OPP, Huron County Paramedic Services and Huron East Fire Department responded to the crash scene located at the intersection of North Line (Huron County #12) and Hydro Line Road.
The subsequent investigation by members of the Huron OPP Detachment and West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management & Enforcement (TIME) Team has determined the defendant was travelling northbound on North Line in a sport utility vehicle when the driver collided with a motorcycle that was stopped attempting to turn left onto Hydro Line Road. The driver of the motorcycle, 76-year-old, Allan COHOE from Burgessville died as a result of the collision.
On Saturday, June 20, 2020 Huron OPP charged Juliana BUFFINGA, 45 years of age from Central Huron with Careless Driving Causing Death. The defendant has a scheduled court appearance on August 18, 2020 at Provincial Offences Court in Goderich.
