(TOWNSHIP OF MAPLETON, ON) - On May 14, 2020, at approximately 8:45 a.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) member investigated the driver of a pick-up truck on Wellington Road 17 west of Highway 6 in Mapleton Township. The driver was found to be prohibited from operating a motor vehicle due to previous convictions and was placed under arrest.
Jordan David HUNT, 28-years-old of Wellington North Township has been charged with Operation While Prohibited X3 contrary to the Criminal Code and Drive While Under Suspension contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. The defendant is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice - Guelph on July 28, 2020.
Their vehicle was seized for a period of 45 days as per statute.
