Fatal Collision Near Mildmay - Name Withheld Pending Notification Of Next Of Kin

(MUNICIPALITY OF SOUTH BRUCE, ON) - Officers from the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment remain on scene of a two-vehicle fatal crash that occurred earlier this afternoon north of Mildmay.
Shortly after 4:00 p.m. South Bruce OPP, Huron County OPP, South Bruce Fire Department and Bruce County Paramedic Services responded to the crash scene located on Highway 9 just south of Concession Road 12 East.
The driver of a compact car has died at the scene. The other involved driver was uninjured.
Members from the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management & Enforcement (TIME) Team are currently on scene assisting with the collision investigation.
The name of the deceased will be released pending next-of-kin notification.
Highway 9 will remain closed for next few hours for the collision investigation. It will be closed between Concession Road 12 East and Concession Road 10. Please take an alternate route to avoid delays.
