(TOWNSHIP OF CENTRE WELLINGTON, ON) - On October 7, 2019, Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a reported fraud at a residence on Sideroad 6 North, Centre Wellington. It was reported that an 80-year-old woman with Alzheimer's was defrauded over $25,000.
Investigation revealed that a known suspect had on numerous occasions charged the woman for roofing repairs that were never completed.
As a result, Alexander WILLIAMSON, 25-years-old of Guelph/Eramosa Township, has been charged with Fraud over $5,000 and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario court of justice-Guelph on March 20, 2020.
