17 Year Old Drunk Driver Arrested In Listowel

(NORTH PERTH, ON) - On January 25, 2020 at 3:38 am, OPP officers in North Perth responded to a vehicle that was stopped in the intersection at Main Street and Wallace Avenue in Listowel.
During the course of the investigation, officers formed the opinion that the driver had consumed alcohol. A roadside test using an approved screening device resulted in a fail. The driver was arrested and transported to the Teviotdale OPP Detachment for further testing.
A 17-year-old driver from Fergus was charged with:
Operation while impaired - blood alcohol consumption (80 plus)
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Youth Court of Justice, Stratford on February 20th, 2020.
The Ontario Provincial Police encourage anyone who suspect someone is operating a motor vehicle while impaired by either alcohol or drug, to dial 911 and report it.
