(GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) - On January 5, 2019 Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called for a motor vehicle collision, involving a car and a cow, on Concession 10 between Grey Road 17 and Gordon Sutherland Parkway, Georgian Bluffs. This is the second collision between a motor vehicle and a cow in the same area, in as many days.

On January 4, 2019 Grey Bruce OPP officers responded to a collision between a (white) sport utility vehicle and three cows that were hit standing on the roadway on Grey Road 17 between Gordon Sutherland Parkway and Concession 10. The involved vehicle went off the roadway and struck a telephone pole, knocking wires down. The single driver did not have any injuries. OPP officers were assisted at the scene by Grey County Paramedics and Inter-Township Fire Department.

The owner of the cows attended both of the scenes has been working to secure his cattle. It is believed that there are approximately 30 to 40 cows still loose in the area.

Grey Bruce OPP would like drivers to be extra attentive while travelling in the area of Grey Road 17, Concession 10 and Gordon Sutherland Parkway and report any loose cattle by contacting the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
