Theft From Dump - 49 Year Old Arrested

(NORTH PERTH, ON) - At approximately 6:40am on November 24, 2019, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), North Perth Detachment were patrolling the area of the North Perth Landfill site on Road 166 due to reports of recent thefts.

Once there, they observed a male suspect inside the fenced area moving items from a large bin to other areas inside the compound.

Police accessed the fenced area and arrested the male for theft.

Burton WEISS, 49-years-old of North Perth was charged with:
Theft Under $5000 contrary to section 322(1) of the Criminal Code.
Break, Enter & Commit an Indictable Offence contrary to section 348(1)(a) of the Criminal Code.

He was released with a December 30th, 2019 court date.
