(BLUEWATER, ON) - Just a friendly reminder, running late is not an excuse that will get you out of a Racing charge. A 33-year-old from Kitchener found that out the hard way yesterday when he was stopped and charged with Perform a Stunt - Excessive Speed.

Just before 3:00 p.m. on November 20, 2019 a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was patrolling westbound on Mill Road when a sport utility vehicle (SUV) was observed travelling eastbound at a very high rate of speed. A speed measurement was taken with a RADAR device and the vehicle was found to be travelling at a rate of speed in excess of 150 km/h in the posted 90 km/h zone.

A traffic stop was initiated and the driver was subsequently charged. Tyler HOBAN, 33 years of age from Kitchener was charged with Perform a Stunt - Excessive Speed. He will now have to attend Provincial Offences Act Court in Goderich on January 7, 2020 to answer to the charge. His motor vehicle was also impounded and his licence has been suspended for an automatic 7 days.
