22 Year Old Arrested In Road Rage Incident

(TOWNSHIP OF GUELPH/ERAMOSA, ON) - On September 11, 2019, at approximately 7:00 a.m. the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a road-rage incident on Wellington Road 29 near Wellington Road 22 in the Township of Guelph/Eramosa. It was reported that the driver of a white coupe was tailgating and passing vehicles aggressively. It was also reported that the driver at one point blocked a live lane of traffic and exited the vehicle brandished a hunting knife.

Police responded and stopped the driver near the village of Eden Mills where they were arrested and the knife was seized.

As a result of the investigation Derek Stuart PILLING, 22-years-old of Mono Twp., has been charged with Dangerous Driving, Stunt Driving and Possession of Weapons Dangerous. The accused was scheduled to appear in the Ontario court of justice - Guelph on October 18, 2019.
