Firearm Displayed In Road Rage IncidentSource: Area OPP

(MONKTON, ON) - On October 4, 2019, at approximately 12:00 p.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), North Perth Detachment received a report of a road rage incident on Perth Road 164, near Monkton.
Through investigation, it was determined that two motor vehicles were travelling north on Road 164 from Mitchell towards Monkton. The situation escalated to a point where a firearm was displayed.
The suspect vehicle is described as a late model silver BMW sedan.
The silver BMW was later observed traveling towards the City of Stratford.
With the assistance of Perth County OPP Major Crime Unit, West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT), West Region Canine and Stratford Police Service, a firearm matching the description given by the victim was recovered in the City of Stratford.
The police investigation is ongoing. If anyone has any information or video surveillance of Perth Road 164 between Mitchell and Monkton, they are being asked to contact the Perth County OPP Major Crime Unit at 1-888-310-1122.
