Police Seeking Witnesses In Fatal Collision

(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) - On August 16, 2019 at approximately 7:30 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Middlesex London EMS and Middlesex Centre Fire Department responded to a single-vehicle collision involving a passenger vehicle on Highbury Avenue North at Fourteen Mile Road, in the Municipality of Middlesex Centre.

The OPP West Region Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) attended the scene to investigate the collision. The preliminary investigation has revealed the vehicle left the roadway and rolled into the ditch.

A passenger in the vehicle sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene, while the driver and another passenger sustained minor injuries. The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending next-of-kin notification.

The roadway was closed for several hours for the police investigation and has since reopened.
