Suspended Driver Arrested Near Listowel

(LISTOWEL, ON) - On August 3, 2019 at approximately 3:00 p.m., a member of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), North Perth detachment on general patrol observed a motor vehicle being operated on Line 86, east of Listowel by a male who was suspended from driving.

After identifying the driver the officer attempted a traffic stop, but the male failed to stop for police. The male was located on August 3, 2019 and was arrested.

Joseph BENTLEY, 25-years-old, of Harriston was charged with;

Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle
Flight from peace officer
Driving while under suspension


The male will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Stratford on September 9, 2019 to speak to the charge.
