Collision South Of Listowel - One Airlifted To Hospital

(LISTOWEL, ON) - On May 22, 2019 at approximately 4:30 p.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Perth County detachment, Perth County Paramedic Services and North Perth Fire Department responded to the scene of a collision involving a single motor vehicle.
A Ford Edge SUV was travelling south on Perth Road 158 in between Line 81 and Line 84, south of Listowel in the Municipality of North Perth.
For unknown reasons, the Ford Edge left the roadway. The lone occupant of the SUV, Malcolm ALLEN, 37-years-old of Listowel was transported to a local hospital and then to London by air ambulance with serious life threatening injuries.
The male driver has been since upgraded to stable condition.
The section of Perth Road 158 in between Line 81 and Line 84, was closed for several hours as OPP Traffic Technical Collision Investigators (TTCI) were called to assist at the scene. Further details will be released when available.
Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact Perth County OPP.
