6 Stunt Drivers Removed From The Roads In Perth County - ROBINSON, NEY, GIESBRECHT, FLEMING, MARQUES & 17 Year Old

(PERTH COUNTY, ON) - Stunt drivers are failing to get the message. Over this past long weekend, the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) located six stunt drivers. Stunt driving occurs when a police officer finds a driver driving in excess of fifty (50) kilometres per hour of the posted speed limit.

On May 17, 2019, the first driver was located travelling well above the posted speed limit on Perth Line 88, north of Listowel in the Municipality of North Perth.

Dezarae ROBINSON, 27-years-old of Edmonton, AB was charged with racing.

On May 17, 2019, the second driver was located travelling well above the posted speed limit on Perth Line 43, north of Stratford in the Township of Perth East.

Valerie NEY, 55-years-old of Stratford was charged with racing.

On May 18, 2019, the third driver was located travelling well above the posted speed limit on Perth Line 43, north of Stratford in the Township of Perth East.

Cody GIESBRECHT, 28-years-old of the Township of North Huron was charged with racing.

On May 19, 2019, the fourth driver was located travelling well above the posted speed limit on Perth Line 55, west of Milverton in the Township of Perth East.

Daniel FLEMING, 35-years-old of Niagara Falls was charged with racing.

On May 19, 2019, the fifth driver was located travelling well above the posted speed limit on Perth Line 20, east of Fullarton in the Municipality of West Perth.

Cecilia MARQUES, 54-years-old of Baden was charged with racing.

On May 20, 2019, the sixth driver was located travelling well above the posted speed limit on Perth Road 180 in the Municipality of West Perth. A seventeen-year-old male drivers was charged with racing.

All driver's received licence suspensions, and will appear in court at a later date to speak to the charges. The motor vehicles were towed and impounded.

Irresponsible driving behaviour will not be tolerated and has no place on the roadway. Drivers who choose to operate a motor vehicle at an excessive speed pose a serious risk to public safety.
