North Huron Fills Floodplain In Response To Record Flooding Across Canada
Source: WFPDate: Fri May 10 23:46:33 MST 2019
Municipalities across Canada are buying out homes affected by flooding and removing them, rerouting rivers around towns, building berms, maintaining dams and doing whatever they can possibly do to protect the Public they are paid to serve and protect. Then there is North Huron.
We all know what responsible municipal governments are doing, but what are King bernie bailey and his jesters doing? The exact opposite of everywhere else of course. King bailey rammed through approval of the site plan for filling in a large portion of the floodplain that protects Wingham at the corner of Hwy 4 & 86.
Filling in the floodplain to increase the flood level only effects a few properties in Wingham. A couple of those properties are owned and/or occupied by vocal critics of North Huron councils waste and corruption. King bailey is literally prepared to flood out people to punish them for speaking up for themselves and others. This pattern of abuse must be obvious to you by now.
