Driver Flees Police After Crashing Into Cemetery Gates

(KINCARDINE, ON) - The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) South Bruce Detachment investigated an incident after a vehicle failed to stop for police and was involved in a collision in Kincardine.
On Friday, April 19, 2019 just before 8:00 a.m., Members of the South Bruce OPP attempted to stop a maroon coloured, 4-door Chrysler Sebring at which time the vehicle failed to stop and fled at a high rate of speed southbound Queen Street towards Bruce Avenue in Kincardine.
A Short time later police were responded to a motor vehicle collision involving the same maroon coloured Chrysler after it crashed into the cemetery gates at Queen Street and Bruce Avenue in Kincardine.
The driver fled the scene prior to police arrival.
The investigation is ongoing and police are seeking the public's assistance in identifying the driver of the maroon Chrysler.
