44 Year Old Facing Drunk Driving Charge Following Collision

(MAPLETON TOWNSHIP, ON) - On Friday April 5, 2019 at approximately 7:00 p.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 6 near Wellington Road 17 involving a possible impaired driver.

Officers arrived at the scene and observed a vehicle in the ditch with the male driver.

Officers spoke with the male and determined that he had consumed alcohol. A Roadside Screening Device (ASD) test was conducted which resulted in a fail. He was transported to nearby OPP Operation Centre for further testing.

Jason HALL, 44-years-old, of Fergus has been charged with Operation While Impaired and Fail to Comply With Demand contrary to the Criminal Code Ontario Court of Justice on May 1, 2019 to answer to the charges.
