(CITY OF GUELPH) - On Saturday, December 30, 2018, members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (O.P.P.) were conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) check on the Hanlon Expressway, Guelph.

At approximately 3:00 a.m., a black sedan entered the RIDE check with three 17-year-old males. While speaking with the driver, officer's detected the odour of fresh marihuana. Investigation led to seizure of over 300 grams of cannabis.

All three occupants are from the Greater Toronto Area and were charged with Possession of Cannabis by Person Under 19-years contrary to the Controlled Cannabis Act 2017 and issued a Provincial Offence Notice.
