Weed Store Raids In London - 17 Charged

(LONDON, ON) - On November 29, 2018, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), along with members of London Police Service, executed search warrants at illegal cannabis storefronts located on Richmond Street and Wonderland Road, London, Ontario.

As a result of the warrants, 17 people have been charged and property has been seized. The accused parties were arrested without incident and have been charged with; Possession for the purpose of selling, contrary to section 10(2) of the Federal Cannabis Act. They are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in London at a later date.


Charged are:

Kelsey KING, 26-years-old, of London, Ontario
Mark MURRAY, 50-years-old, of London, Ontario
Luke MURRAY, 30-years-old, of London, Ontario
Ashley MCDOWELL, 30-years-old, of London, Ontario
Justin MACKAY, 29-years-old, of London, Ontario
Liam TURNBULL 21-years-old, of London, Ontario
Alissa DODGE-CAMPBELL, 26-years-old, of London, Ontario
Carly JONES, 23-years-old, of London, Ontario
Monique JOHNSON, 38-years-old, of London, Ontario
Wilfredo GARCIA, 34-years-old, of London, Ontario
Breanna BOYER, 25-years-old, of London, Ontario
Tytan BRUCKSCHWAIGER, 21-years-old, of London, Ontario
Elizabeth HENTZ, 29-years-old, of London, Ontario
Brandon DEANE, 26-years-old, of London, Ontario
Clare MCSWEENY, 26-years-old, of London, Ontario
Nicole LAING, 24-years-old, of London, Ontario

Further charges were laid under the Ontario Cannabis Control Act to the property owners of the illegal cannabis storefronts on December 7, 2018. As a result of the current investigation, MOR HOLDING CORPORATION and 1524851 ONTARIO INC., both of London, Ontario have been charged with:

permit a premise of which he or she is a landlord to be used in relation to the sale or distribution of cannabis contrary to section 23(2) of the Ontario Cannabis Control Act



The OPP is leading an enforcement strategy which includes other Ontario police services. This strategy will reflect actionable intelligence on illegal cannabis operations.



The focus of the strategy is to dismantle organized crime groups, eliminate the illegal cannabis supply, remove illegal cannabis enterprises such as store fronts and online, and target the proceeds of crime and assets.
