(TOWNSHIP OF PUSLINCH, ON) - On Saturday December 1, 2018 at approximately 1:00 a.m. the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting R.I.D.E. spotchecks on Brock Road south near Cockburn Street in Puslinch Township where the investigated the male driver of a silver sedan that turned into a driveway just prior to the checkpoint.
While speaking with the male, officers determined that he was under the influence of alcohol. A Roadside Screening Device Test (ASD) was conducted which resulted in a fail. She was arrested and brought to a local OPP Operations Centre for further testing.
55-year-old Pherk SEEHA of St. Thomas has been charged with Driving with Over 80 mgs of alcohol in 100mL of blood contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on January 4, 2019 to answer to his charge.
A 90-day Administrative Driver's Licence Suspension (A.D.L.S.) and 7-day Vehicle Impoundment was initiated as per statute.
