26 Year Old Charged For Unlawful Purchase Of Cannabis

(TOWNSHIP OF PUSLINCH, ON) - On Saturday December 1, 2018 at approximately 2:50 p.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated the occupants of a blue sedan that entered into a R.I.D.E. spot check on Gore Road and Maddaugh Road. While speaking with the female driver, officers detected a strong odour of marihuana within the vehicle. A male passenger surrendered three baggies of marihuana to the officers. Cannabis resin was also located during a search following the arrest.
26-year-old Michael DAVSON of Havlock Township was served a provincial offence notice for Unlawful Purchase of Cannabis contrary to the Cannabis Act 2017 and Possession of Cannabis Resin contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal court on January 8, 2019 to answer to the charge.
