Officer Injured In Line Of Duty

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) - The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment has charged a 33-year-old male after police responded to an incident at a Norfolk Street South, Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Saturday, September 26, 2015 at approximately 1:56 p.m., police were contacted by concerned citizens about an unwanted male at the Norfolk Street South address.
Upon arrival of officers, the male was located at the front of the property at which time he fled from the area with officers following. The male then became engaged in a physical confrontation with an officer resulting in non-life threatening injuries to the officer.
The male was subsequently taken into custody without further incident.
Charged with assault with intent to resist arrest and fail to comply with undertaking is 33-year-old Rodger Alfred KIENITZ of Haldimand County, Ontario.
He is to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charges.
